This production of De Meistersinger had minimalistic sets and cloud imagery for the final scene.
The sets were not cluttered and were effective in their simplicity.
For a small theatre there was also good pastel shade lighting effects.
The costumes were also colourful.
The orchestral playing by the Fulham Opera orchestra conducted by Ben Woodward was excellent, along with the singing with Keel Watson and Steven Fredericks as Hans Sachs, Ronald Samm and Florain Thomas as Walther von Stolzing, Catherin Woodward and Philippa Boyle as Eva Pogner, and Jonathan Finney as Sixtus Beckmesser, Town Clerk.
