Advert Description
The car is being used occasionally for weddings but comes available for sale now with only one wedding hire this month.
It runs well, and the speedometer mileage shows 41,000 +, it starts and runs well, the oil pressure is excellent at tick over it shows 50, and when revved to 2000rpm it shows 80, and it doesnt burn oil, engine and gearbox are original as is the interior, the chassis is in good sound condition and has been kept that way by annual protective coatings evident from the extra photographs that will be displayed when this site allows, there is no rust in the boot area, chassis, floor pans, inner wings, wheel arches, and both front and rear panels are better than good, and the bottoms of the doors are very good as shown in the photographs .
It has brand new tyres less than 1000 miles ago, it has the chrome wire spoke wheel conversion, but most of all, what a pleasure it is to drive.
I am 73 now, and the weddings are becoming difficult as my wife is in ill health and she would assist, but as she is disabled now and it is so difficult for her that we have decided to let "Sir Mick", my wifes play on the Mick Jaguar theme.
As the car is 54 years old, it is Tax and MOT exempt, and as a classic car, my fully comprehensive insurance costs me £109 a year, which also covers me for hiring it for weddings without any increase.
But, although tax and mot exempt, and if you don't have sufficient knowledge
to a check the vehicle over yourself, have it checked over by a qualified mechanic or garage would be beneficial.
There is lots of service history, and the original tax disc is still on the screen and although we bought it at the beginning of the pandemic for 17.5K, we have made good revenue from the car so a reasonable offer would be acceptable.
So if your local to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne or Durham, or anywhere close enough to come and have a look, please get in touch.
