Advert Description

Not a railway enthusiast therefore cannot claim any expert knowledge. What I do know is that this portable lamp has a porcelain Sherwood burner. Clear, red, and blue glass. There is a slot at the back, where it sits on to a vehicle - possibly a BR lorry/wagon? It has the obvious handle on the top. Also. BR(W) on the top front, and on the burner base.
The wick light must date it back to at least the 1940s?
The whole item is in excellent condition. The hinged door at the back, and its clasp, are working perfectly, as is the burner wheel. No cracks on the glass, and no scratches on the main caseing.
I believe my asking price is in line with current prices for similar lamps. Might be worth a lot more, or, a little less. I’m willing to discuss with any enthusiasts.
