I have been driving this as my daily commute for 20 years, its first year was in the MOD and we bought it from a fleet trade dealer at 30/40k miles.
It’s had an easy life, pulled a caravan for a couple of years, UK holiday tours and general gadding about but no off roading.
254,414 miles.
Just MOT’d, to April 2025.
Has a mechanical check every 6 months, that’s the April MOT and every Sept/Oct for service, 3 filters and oil change with a winter prep once over, all by a local garage.
T-belt last done at 217k miles, previous to that at 70k and 160k.
Aux drive, clutch master and slave also done at 217k.
Other consumables replaced as required with receipts going back to 2018.
Wax oiled over the years and July 2023 undersealed at a local Japanese specialist garage.
Small hole in EGR valve has been fixed with exhaust sealant as the part is no longer available.
Slight oil weep from a bolt on the turbo but good for ‘engine lubrication’ ; )
Exterior - cosmetically there are small scuffs and scratches, small patches of paint bubbles and surface rust.
Roof has lacquer deterioration and the ARB truck top has been fixed on to the bed liner with sealant.
Has an adjustable/removable tow ball and alloy wheels are of an age themselves, plastic centre cap thread barrels have broken off over the years so fixed on with washers and long blots, authentically rustic.
Interior - wear on drivers side seat edge, a bulb out behind the temperature dials and a/c not working, re gassed and dye added but garage said it would be a dash off job,
c/w Kenwood DAB+/CD player which connects to mobile for hands free.
At 21 years old it starts first time, drives smooth, sounds sweet and still looks handsome.
