Fully working order oil-fired 2-oven, 2 cooking plate Aga for sale. Last serviced November 2023.
Left plate is boiling plate, right plate is simmering plate.
Upper oven is hot oven, lower oven is simmering oven.
Style is the type made between 1930s up to about 1970 so this model is at least 50 years old, solidly made from British Steel (much better quality than those made in last 10 years!).
Flu size is 4".
This Aga (I am informed by the Aga serviceman) was previously a solid fuel Aga that was converted to oil.
Works perfectly.
Has a safety shut-off valve not always present on older models. We also have a water loop on this so it heats our domestic hot water too.
Only for sale as we now have our own wood, so we are changing for a wood-fired range.
Prefer for buyer to arrange to collect/dismantle. I am informed that with these older Agas they don't come out in one piece, they have to be dismantled and best done by specialist.
We will arrange for the water loop to be disconnected prior by our boiler engineer.
Price is £395 if you arrange to dismantle.
If you prefer for us to arrange taking the Aga out/dismantling, the price will be an additional £400-500 (as I will need to hire specialists to do this. It's a 2-man job). I would provide receipts for the dismantling and only charge on the costs I incurred.
Currently it is in use (May 2024) but I will likely turn off soon for the summer, so if you'd like to see it working please get in touch soon.
Works of course without electricity so your cooking is ensured even in a power cut scenario.
