These are fantastic road bikes, I have owned four of this model ZX9R. I did several high speed tours of France and Spain on previous ones; very roomy and comfortable, unlike modern sportbikes. Fuel consuption is very good too, doing better than my four mates BMWs ( 2 tourers and 2 GSes) on those foreign tours.They were not popular in the day due to their size and slow tuning, compared to Fireblades and Gixers; but all they need is a 5mm increse in rear ride height to get them turning like a 600! And yet they remain totally planted and stable; fantastic on bumpy roads. I bought this from a dealer in September 2021 and spent £3000 improving the suspension and brakes. The rear shock is a top quality Nitron unit and the front fork internals have been upgraded by Maxton. A Brembo adjustable master cylinder and new EBC HH pads sorts the braking. I also fitted a new cluch, although it didn't need it, just for everything to be perfect. Oh and a Shido lightweight lithium battery ( a Shido charger will be included in the sale) Chain,sprockets and tyres are new.
I fitted a custom seat too with green stitching.The bike has done 22,434 miles; sadly only 200ish by myself, due to health issues and arthritis, hence the sale. It has just sailed through it's MOT so is good to go. These are incredibly cheap to insure too, as people don't realise how good they are, they are still not popular, so don't get stolen!!!
