Lewis 200 Series Back Hoe and Front Loader to fit Ford 1200 or 1210 compact tractor. (And others).
The Tractor is NOT included.
The Lewis 200 Series back hoe and loader was perfected by Lewis agri equipment of Bidford on Avon in the early 1980's.
It is, to my mind, the best compact tractor back hoe, ever developed. With a tear-out force to equal a JCB of the time. The hydraulics are powerered via a pump driven by the PTO. I bought this to work on my smallholding in late 1986. It had seen some work prior to my ownership, but my goodness, despite its size it has very impressive capabilities! The last couple of years has seen it completely stripped down, as has the front loader, and rebuilt with all new pins and bearings, and ram seals where required. Most hoses and fittings are new. I have used it for some very minor jobs since, so remains in top condition.
Fully greased and ready to work. The only way you are likely
to find a better example is if you can find a brand new one, which would be extremely expensive, even if it existed! Matching loaders and back hoes are becoming very rare.
Ideal for self build. small holding, or a collector. The back hoe is quickly removeable allowing the tractor to be used with other attachments, or just as a loader.
Please note, I am selling the digging attachments without the tractor. The attachments are being sold with under-rail bracketry for a Ford 1210. Although I have under rail bracketry for the 1200 available separately..but these are not included in the price.
Also, included is a genuine Lewis Equipment back hoe manual and an advertising leaflet of the time.
No plans to use the attachments and will remain on the tractor until a sale has been agreed and a deposit paid. (Enabling a prospective purchaser to see them working.) They will then be removed ready for collection.
