Me and my 2 friends are looking for a part loan horse/pony to co loan together in york. 3 days a week would be ideal for us and we can to Sundays and some week days. We are 13 currently and 14 in about a month. I have been riding since I was 5 and half had nearly 10 years at a riding school and my friends have been riding for around 5 years but we are all similar level. We can each walk, trot, Canter, jump exc. We know basic horse care since my friends are in pony club and I have been helping out for 3 years and we do most lessons in open order so we know how to warm up and cool down effectively. We don't mind doing yard chores.
We are looking for a horse between 13.3 hands and 16.3 hands and are not bothered by breed as long as they can jump. We would prefer a horse 8-15 years old but willing to take older ones if they are still capable. We can go younger as long as they are safe. Jumps at least 60cm but a little higher would be preffered.
The yard must have an arena and hacking available.
We appreciate many won't want three people but we have worked it out so it would work. So if we go 3 days a week one person will ride per day and the others on the ground. Although there are 3 people, 2 are twins so we would split the cost between the 2 families as we don't see the point in paying more for exactly the same thing. We are willing to pay up to £25 a week all together.
We are based in Haxby, so 30 minute radius to travel.
