Framework with Jaguar D-Type.
The D-Type was produced by Jaguar Cars Ltd. between 1954 and 1957. It was a racing roadster, which in addition to having conquered the prestigious podium at the Circuit de la Sarthe, could boast first-rate technical solutions. The heart was the same as the previous C-Type, an evolution of the unit mounted on the road-going Jaguar XK. From a structural point of view, the new sports car could count on a brand new monocoque frame. The Jaguar D-Type then enjoyed better aerodynamic efficiency: it integrated a technology derived from aeronautics and adopted the famous vertical stabilizer, a fin that made its silhouette unmistakable.
